What is a mezzanine floor?
Double your space. Not your footprint.
A mezzanine floor is an intermediate steel platform built between the ground floor and the ceiling of an existing building or new shed — effectively creating a second level of usable space without expanding the building's footprint or constructing a new structure. It is the fastest and most cost-effective way to double warehouse storage, add office space above a factory floor, or create a dedicated inspection or packing area at height.
- No new building required — the mezzanine uses the existing clear height of your shed or warehouse. Typically requires 5m+ eave height to create comfortable working levels on both floors
- Standalone structure — the mezzanine has its own columns and does not load the building's main frame. It is independent of the PEB structure and can be modified or removed separately
- Bolted construction — all connections are bolted, not welded. The mezzanine can be dismantled, reconfigured and relocated if your operations change or you move premises
- Up to 750 kg/m² load capacity — heavy-duty versions support pallet storage, manufacturing equipment and forklift-served racking. Standard office mezzanines are rated at 250–500 kg/m²
- Installed while operations continue — our installation methodology minimises disruption. Most mezzanines are installed in sections, keeping the majority of the ground floor operational throughout
